Angkor Wat: A Siem Reap Bucket List Cultural Treasure
No visit to Siem Reap is complete without experiencing the Angkor Wat temple complex. We bought the 3-day ticket, which we highly recommend. It gave us ample time to explore the main temples without rushing.
The sprawling complex offers breathtaking architecture, intricate carvings, and a glimpse into the grandeur of the Khmer Empire. Sunrise at Angkor Wat is legendary—watching the sun rise behind the iconic towers is truly magical. Beyond Angkor Wat, don’t miss nearby temples like Bayon with its many smiling faces, and Ta Prohm, the famous “Tomb Raider” temple overrun by giant tree roots.
